Great Summer
Jobs in Denali National Park and Full- Time Jobs in Wasilla Alaska

Have you dreamed of
exploring the great Alaska wilderness, or working and playing at a resort deep
inside the vast Denali National Park? Or does spending your summer at the
doorstep of Denali have a certain lure to you? If so, Denali Lodges can offer
you the ultimate in seasonal employment. We are always looking for adventurous,
hard working, conscientious people to join our team under the midnight sun. Our
hiring needs range from cooks and servers to logistics and management with
everything in between. So if you have a background in natural history, tourism,
maintenance, hotel management, natural sciences or recreation, we have an
employment opportunity for you!
Established in 1992,
Denali Lodges is an Alaska based company committed to providing guests with the
finest lodging and narrated Park experiences available. We own and operate one
spectacular Backcountry Lodge located in the heart of Denali Nat'l Park as well
as a community of Cabins just outside of the Park entrance. In addition to the
lodging, we conduct daily bus to Kantishna, the historic mining community 95
miles inside the park boundaries. At the peak of the tourism season we employ
over 60 people between the properties and during the winter months the number
reduces to about eight.
Many of our seasonal employees get hooked on the serenity the wilderness
offers and come back to work year after year, advancing in pay and status each
time they do. In the upcoming season we will have many of last year's seasonal
staff rejoining the team. This is low turnover in our business and we credit
that to the community atmosphere common values held among employees. It is hard
work, but there is tremendous opportunity for succession and growth within the
company. It's not uncommon to talk to a Head Guide or Manager and hear them tell
stories about how they started as an intern one year, then a guide the next
summer and up they progressed.
Hiring preference is given to applicants who have demonstrated skills and
experience in carpentry, maintenance and landscaping. The one common aspect of
an Alaska lodge is that there's always something that needs to be built, fixed
or made more beautiful. We want all of our staff to be able to lend a hand to
special projects.
