Communal Living

Seasonal employees with Denali Lodges stay at the respective property they are working at, either at the Lodge deep within the Park or the Cabins near the Park entrance. Our Room and Board Program costs differ at each property due to proximity to other Denali housing choices.

At Denali Cabins a $15 per day fee covers all your room and board expenses at the Denali Cabins property. A portion of this fee is reimbursed back to you upon successful completion of your season.

At Denali Backcountry Lodge room and board is an included benefit due to the lack of other independent housing choices. Both locations provide free staff laundry facilities and Internet access. A phone for making long distance calls with your calling card is also available.

This is a great opportunity to save money, because aside from personal items and entertainment there are no other expenses.

The actual housing is very basic, but is the wilderness standard for Denali Park employee accommodations. Employees' stay in modified ATCO trailers or Canvass Wall Tents. All rooms/tents have beds, bedding materials, closet space, and electric or propane heaters. Showers and restroom facilities are located in separate buildings and are cleaned regularly. There are generally 2 people per room/tent. We attempt to put compatible personalities in the same living quarters but please understand that employees come from all parts of the country and world, and anticipating personality characteristics is difficult. Couples coming to Denali Lodges will have a room/tent to themselves, offering as much privacy as possible under the circumstances.

You are personally responsible for the upkeep of staff housing, dining, bathhouse, and lounge areas - no exceptions. The people you work with will be the same people you live with and many lifelong friendships blossom out of this situation. It requires responsibility, patience, flexibility, consideration and a good sense of humor, but with the right group of people it will be the experience of a lifetime.

If this sounds like an appealing opportunity for the path you want your life to travel, come join our growing family at Denali Lodges. Denali Lodges is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
